So in my switch of programs, I download the free trial of indesign and feel a little overwhelmed. I remember using this program for my internship at a graphic design company but we used it to create booklets for schools and football games. We used already created graphics. As of now I may be confusing indesign and illustrator. (I have tweeted my professor asking which he suggested I use) Any way this is a bit daunting.
So I decided to google which program serves the best for creating graphics. Note that the term graphic may not be specific enough or addressing the right thing I want to make. Originally I wanted to make abstract images but now I think graphics are what I'm going for. You know when you type "clipart" after words in google images. I found a link to The 5 Best Open Source Graphic Programs. I figured open source in short meant free but I googled it just to check. "o·pen-source adjective- COMPUTING denoting software for which the original source code is made freely available and may be redistributed and modified." I was right. I will be taking a look at the top 2 and getting back on their ease and my ability to figure them out/ design what I intend to. |
Heads up!I don't typically like blogging because I lack a coherent train of thought when writing, use too many commas and run on sentences (as well as parenthesis- note this "sentence" alone); which make me look and feel unprofessional, yet don't want to go back and change what I wrote because that would change the authenticity of it and usually I don't remember what my purpose for writing was in the first place. Plus despite my poor grammar prior to editing this is the way I really think- one crazy long twisted train of thought that in the end makes sense to me and often not to many other people. Additionally I don't like sharing my raw thought. Essentially I'm a perfectionist. I guess this class will improve upon that. Archives
